by Guy Pecook ‧ RELEASE DATE: July 16, 1934
The best type of human interest journalism applied to a delightful story. A fire throws a heterogeneous collection of tenants into each others' lives and brings good to most of them. Up to that time they had ignored the drama at their own doorways: afterwards comes a period of communal life, friendly gossip and mutual interests. The author succeeds in interesting the reader deeply in the outcome of each of his little human dramas -- and it is good reading in the process.
