Interesting job, with the ""who"" easy, but the ""how"" and the ""why"" something to work on. Likable characters and good pace. Good locked door problem in the murder of a rich man who exposes criminals and screwball cults, hounded down by Los Angeles' Lt. Detective Marshall and an ex-policewoman nun and a recently out-of-work writer. A modern Wandering Jew and his Temple go on record for hating the rich man and claim to have killed him. The rich man's family is well implicated. Another charlatan causes trouble. The Wandering Jew racket is dissolved, the killer, forced into the open by an attempted second killing, is confronted and made to confess.
