AMPHIBIANS AND THEIR WAYS

The author describes in great detail the complete life-cycle of amphibians and one is impressed by the rituals and patterns of behavior that make their study so rewarding. Her careful observations and enthusiasm offset a rather matter-of-fact prose. The reader is alerted to the possibilities of duplicating the author's investigations. A non technical introduction generates its own interest and may stimulate home study projects.
