GHOSTS I'VE MET

Mr. Holzer first appeared in print as the Ghost Hunter (1963, p. 691) in which he confined his exploratory psychic treks to Manhattan and its immediate surroundings. Since then he has become a somewhat fashionable spokesman for the netherworld (Tonight Show etc.) and is hoping to start his own series...Twilight Prone perhaps Anyway Mr. Holzer is definitely in the swing of things and happily admits that he has been ""developing my own latent powers to a point where I might have first hand experiences in the psychic realms."" Unfortunately however most of Mr. Holzer's ""meetings"" still take place through his mediums but the conversations (recorded?) are remarkable in themselves. When Mr. Holzer is not busily persuading some irascible spirit that he? she? it? is really truly dead and wouldn't they mind crossing over to the other side?...he is corresponding, conversing and visiting with ghost harassed mortals. In this book his trips take him from the East into the Midwest, South and finally to Europe where ghosts have had a much longer life span. Among the blithe spirits encountered or heard of are a parson, a headless railroad conductor, a drunkard and even a stripper. His first book sold 13,000 copies. Evidently Mr. Holzer has a live (one trusts?) audience.
