DWIGHT MORROW

Harold Nicolson, perhaps, leads the ranks of biographers, today, and his own well-rounded experience in diplomacy is an added factor in an equipment admirably adapted to the task of writing a biography of a man who, in too brief a span of years, had come to symbolize the best in American political, business and diplomatic life. This is frankly a laudatory biography, but one feels on finishing it, that no other kind of biography could be written of Dwight Morrow. Sufficient emphasis is placed on the facts of his full career, but the impression that survives is one of the man himself, as an individual, a personality, a power. Undoubtedly, in leading business circles, this will prove one of the outstanding biographies of the fall season, carrying through the holiday season.
