A PARADE OF ANCIENT ANIMALS

There have been other fact books and picture books about prehistoric animals, but this, somehow, seems more complete, better rounded, both in giving the historical background and in conveying a sense of the changing world and the reasons for the disappearance of these strange monsters. More creatures are covered than the average picture book makes possible. And yet this has its fair quota of pictures. Good stock item, to supplement the dressier picture books in the same field.
