by Harold S. Vanderbilt ‧ RELEASE DATE: N/A
In the early '30's Harold Vanderbilt introduced his strong, forcing one club convention although his books featuring it have been long out of print. Now, along with the introduction by his partner, it is again available and there are certain modern additions (Blackwood, Gerber and Stayman). This One Club Convention has been signally successful in World Championship play (many hands included here) where Standard American (i.e. Goren) has shown up dismally. But the handicap will of course be Howard Schenken's Better Bidding in 15 Minutes (Simon & Schuster) which appeared last fall, which is a variation of the same system and which has had considerable publicity in many bridge columns.
