AN ARMY IN PIGTA

The delightful tale of how Beckie the fifer and Abie the drummer outwitted the Redcoats and saved their New England village at the outbreak of the Revolution. Few people in town could tolerate the musical ""talent"" of the daughters of the lighthouse keeper. But once father is called to war, Beckie and Abie learn the rallying songs of the Revolution and entertain everyone. Their effort yields incredible rewards, when the two girls use their music to feign an army of men and frighten off the enemy.
