by Harry Harrison ‧ RELEASE DATE: Dec. 20, 1972
At least the fourth appearance of James Bolivar di Griz tapped to save a universe threatened by some tinkering with time; and via a time helix (and with a lot of other metallic equipment) he's sent back to 1975 to enter a bank and to 1807 to confront Napoleon. This doesn't altogether escape the suspicion of comic strip heroics (and some of the ""discs"" and ""dats"" may ""bodder"" you) but the forte once again is action -- lots of it.
