THE WHITE SEA HORSE

It's a slight, delicate, feminine fantasy about a sea horse caught in a fisherman's net-- an eohippus-sized horse, pure white with yellow eyes and golden hooves. The daughter of the fisherman tends it, but soon the villagers learn about it and the mayor demands that the horse be caged as a gift for the King and Queen. Then the donkeys run into the sea, the villagers regret that they had imprisoned the horse, and let it free. The story is frail, and rather contrived, but an aura of mysticism has been achieved and some of the descriptions will please the quiet reader.
