THE WIZARD, THE FAIRY, AND THE MAGIC CHICKEN

A passably contrived concoction about the rivalry among a wizard (a dumpy fellow in the standard white beard and pointed hat, with a crescent moon on his wand), a fairy (blond and dressed in pink but as fat as she is tall, with a star on her wand), and a magic chicken (in jester cap with a pickle on his wand). Each is forever trying to outdo the other, but when each one conjures up a separate threatening monster, it takes a joint effort--conjuring a cloud and thunder and lightning together, instead of separately--to make the rain that melts away the threat. Leavened with foolishness and wacky pictures and anchored with a suitable moral, this can pass through any checklist, but it's all more mechanical than magical.
