WHY I BUILT THE BOOGLE HOUSE

It is difficult to get around the necessity for repetition in controlled vocabulary books. This author neatly solves the problem by absorbing it. She has created a rigmarole. easy words and handsome photographs follow a boy's efforts to house a pet. The turtle left the turtle house which was expanded for a duck (who left) so the boy added a wing for a kitten -- and so on up past a horse until a sort of ""boogle"" mansion is achieved. The book has eye appeal, and the reading exercise is also good nonsense.
