by Helen Worden ‧ RELEASE DATE: May 5, 1939
This is fun -- the most entertaining book yet seen, designed for the World's Fair visitor, and so fresh in presenting information that there should be a great deal for the local residents who don't know their New York as well as they know their London or their Paris. Shops, eating places, churches, parks, foreign districts, financial district, etc. A chattier book than the the Slocum Key to New York (Harper) -- interlarded with names, social and otherwise, department heads, anecdotes and facts, based on personal investigation, by the author, a feature writer on the World-Telegram.
