by Henry E. Sigerist ‧ RELEASE DATE: Oct. 1, 1937
One feels that Dr. Sigerist has swallowed it all, bait, hook, line and sinker, for in presenting his ""facts"" he has used Soviet statistics and accepted everything he has been told as accomplished fact. The main features of the system are free medical service, preventive measures, for disease control, central direction of health activities. Covers background of organization, training, results in obliterating epidemics, protection of labor, shorter working day, recreation, health resorts, hospitals, institutions, food labor, etc. Paints and amazing picture of accomplishment and ignores any possible faults. A book to take with many grains of salt.
