This is a spiritual biography of Gandhi, a study of the moral principles and their development in his person. Chronologically the text traces the events of his life giving them secondary place as they supplied impulse to his spiritual growth. This is an attempt to show him and his impact on the world. Where his autobiography (see report P.418) goes only to the year of imprisonment, 1922, when it was written, this carries through to his death at the hand of an assassin. Specialized appeal.
