PICTURE STORY OF HAWAII

This collection of scraps of information about Hawaii has the breezy over-simplified style of a travelogue, which in its cursory treatment of the subject reminds the reader of the unreality of a technicolor travelogue. However, in the wide range of subjects covered holiday customs, peoples, geography, government, and history -- there is enough matter here far background material in geography studies. One could wish that the point of view were not that of a tourist, but the author has caught the beauty and serenity of the islands themselves.
