The disappearance of Lowell Mitchell, eighteen, from a Massachusetts college campus offers no explanation in her marks --which were good, her contacts -- which were unusual, save by the police who suspect the worst. And the discovery of her body a few seeks later establishes the evidence that she had been knocked up, provokes a steady robe which eventually reveals the missing man in her life...
