This is not a book hastily planned nor hastily executed, but in subject matter it fits into this group. A basic text (for schools, colleges, business groups, financial groups) -- on the theories that govern economics of war. He analyzes the human and material resources, the capacity for adaptation and organization. He discusses the transformation of peace economy to war economy, and the participation of government. He puts forward the international aspects involving allies, belligerents, neutrals. He suggests the pattern of post war economics. Although he cites historical bases for his theories, one cannot help but feel that he speaks in sweeping generalities, which should serve merely as basis for further study.
