WIND IN THE RIGGING

First rate sea adventure story, with a mystery element. A ship is laid up in a San Francisco port; the Captain sends a mysterious summons to his young third mate to join him in New York. Together, incognito, they ship on a vessel of doubtful reputation bound for the Mediterranean, and find as fellow shipmate, a youth, who turns out to be the owner's son. Events follow thick and fast, including a murder and a kidnapping or so. A good yarn.
