THE BLACK SHRIKE

British agent John Bentall, with the lovely and presumably equally invulnerable Marie, is sent to Australia to trace a series of missing scientists. Hijacked, they jump ship to swim through shark infested waters to an island where sinister natives, mad dogs, and a still more opponent, use brutal means to force him to fuse up the rocket- the Black Shrike... Wildly improbable, there's the bravura, verve and high potency which give tan Stuart a striking resemblance to Ian Fleming. Still, even if imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. It's not quite the real thing.
