by Ingri & Edgar Parin D'Aulaire ‧ RELEASE DATE: Aug. 5, 1954
**Double star for this, one of the nicest books the gifted D'Aulaires have given us. Continent by continent, they share rich fare of knowledge very simply presented. ""Far to the South, where it is very hot, live the animals that like very hot weather"". And again we see that ""There the lively Monkey hides in the leaves. The shy Zebra gallops over the grass"", and so on. We see them too, front and back as the ingenious lithographic pictures show front and back on most full page sheets. Lots of details for the ever fascinating identification of text and pictures for small listeners. Just grand!
