When first met, social scientist David Warshaw has been abandoned by his wife Edna and three children Avru, Chiya and Simcha--they've all gone to Israel. He finds himself with various symptoms ranging from ""limp parvitude"" (this has a more specific application) to ""stasis neurosis"" (his all-over condition). He takes another woman who restores his manhood but leaves him with VD; reviews his past as a little Jewish boy from Flatbush whose father did very well with the Lox of Luck Caterers; pursues divorcee Sylvia and finally marries an apparently satisfactory widow in Miami. In between the too mature sex and juvenile Jewish jokes, a cloddish parvum in parvo.
