IF YOU MARRY OUTSIDE YOUR FAITH

This is a revised edition of the book of the same name written in 1954 by the Episcopal Bishop of California. This has enabled Bishop Pike not only to include additional court cases of interest, but also to clarify and expand the text in the light of his continuing experience in marriage counseling. There is no doubt that this book will serve a wide need in this area of human experience where the resources and the claims of religion are so largely blurred or overlooked. He deals forthrightly with birth-control, spells out the Human Catholic rules and the ethics of other churches, as well as the problems created by Jewish Christian marriages. Both those already in a mixed marriage and those contemplating much a marriage should be made aware of this book; it could almost be called reading which will do much to help marriage partners avoid pitfalls and also to find a constructive solution to any current difficulties they may have. Thus the cheaper, paper edition is welcome.
