Further in Callan's Red File (1971) as he faces a couple of drastic options -- his vision will go within a month without surgery, and he's to be traded/or killed by his section chief in exchange for their top man in Russia. Actually the deal is somewhat different but Callan alone, except for his nice friend Lonely scared to the death they both face, manages to survive. Very deadly indeed -- killing time in a matter of seconds.
