by James Thurber ‧ RELEASE DATE: N/A
You know your Thurber market. This ""parable in pictures"" was rushed through on the crest of sudden enthusiasm. It might be defined as Thurber's approach to pacifism, for in typical drawings he makes the swing around a world despoiled and destroyed, down to the last flower -- the discovery and worship of that flower -- and the rebirth of the world, only to raise again more and more soldiers, bring on another war, and again approach extinction. Of course, it's the way he does it that counts.
