Pam was a strange little penguin, with none of the glossy black feathers that decorated the rest of her kin-folk. If it hadn't been for her twin brother, Peter, she wouldn't have been able to bear the taunts and ridicule of the penguin colony. Pam loses her shyness forever after she and Peter have their great adventure with explorers. This is a pleasing little book with catchy illustrations by Kurt Wiese. There is so much of the human in the penguin that the story should instruct as well as amuse.
