GRUB: The Bush Baby

This is not your average baby book as Grub's Daddy is the professional photographer and his nursery is the Tanzanian bush, but it is closer to the norm than the above considerations and the eminence of Grub's ethologist mother would lead you to expect. The first person commentary, as if by the curious blond two-year-old, seems more appropriate for the grandparents for whom Mummy and Daddy originally compiled the book than for a general readership, especially a juvenile one, and though Grub's investigations of a lame mouse, an elephant, or a group of zebras are a switch from the usual zoo encounters, they might be better appreciated in the pages of Life than in a hard-cover $4.95 package.
