Girls will welcome this continuation of the gay adventures of the Parrish family (of Star-Spangled Summer and Dreams of Glory) which can also be enjoyed on its own. It is quite up to its predecessors in glamour and romance. In fact, even Pearl Harbor fails to dim the rose-colored life of this West Point crowd --orchids and stream-lined roadsters continue to flow freely. Here, it seems to me, the author has missed her chance to make a really fine novel out of a merely good girls' book. However, girls will lap it up without being too critical. By and large it's better than most of its kind. But not top-notch.
