This is an excellent collection of hymns for family use, hence its inclusion under a ""Read Aloud"" section, for use with children younger than those who would he apt to use it on their own initiative. Twenty seven hymns, with simplified piano arrangements of the tnes most generally known. The publishers make a special feature of the fact that full page reproductions of the Tenggren full color illustrations are available in two sets selection number 1 includes the five pictures in the first half of the book; selection number 2, those in the last half. Personally, I like selection number better. Lovely coloring, drawing somewhat conventionalized, would be nice for Sunday School or classroom use.
