THE MAN WHO HELD FIVE ACES

The psychothriller, slicked up, this follows Curly's murder of his friend, Lonnie, who held five aces, money, position, looks, and Muriel- the girl Curly loved. In the follow up of the crime by Bud, their friend,- by Alison- Muriel's sister who loved Curly but knew he had done it,- by Teasdale- who knew Curly was his man but not why, this maintains a tense game of evasion until the final confession. A Crime Club selection, this is fine for escapists, not purists.
