In such hoppity couplets Willis tells of Georgie's wiggling, ferocious resistance to the tub, his expulsion from home by a frazzled mother, his increasing stink--until he's sent from school as well--and his ultimate capitulation after a night spent in a garbage can. Like the rhyme, Willis' bright pictures have a standardized cheery bounce, with occasional funny peaks. In the best of these, we see a mixed pack of eager mutts following Georgie along the sidewalk over the words ""On Tuesday, still in Monday's socks/ He started smelling like a fox."" If nothing else, it's widely accessible.
