THE CAT THIEF

Cats unite"" was the cry heard throughout a cat infested seaside town when Esmerelda, the rat catcher, realized that Siamese Sarah's kittens had been stolen. Before this, all the neighborhood cats were busily pursuing their individual interests. Ginger Moll, the fish store pet, was bathing after her sumptuous dinner; Arabella, the alley cat, was licking her tail in the town garage; all the houseboat cats were romping playfully and Esmerelda; herself, was keeping her usual vigil. Summoning all their feline ferocity, they force the thief to turn over his loot. Though this may lack the wit of such similar stories, say H. Best's Desmond's First Case (Viking), it will nevertheless please cat lovers and enchant them visually through William Stobbs' diversified pictures in full color.
