by Joanna Crawford ‧ RELEASE DATE: May 2, 1975
Primrose is a sexy, scatty young thing, free-floating even if she thinks of it as floating free, who drifts into a small Jersey coastal town rooming house -- the scene of her ten-month marriage at the age of sixteen which left her with Sunny, now eleven, tired of being shuffled from one place to another as Primrose keeps hoping and getting remarried. Who knows just what will turn up at old Mr. Samson's Haven by the Sea: the frazzled Flame who has seen better days but still sings; or the attractive dilettante painter nearby who might, just might, love Primrose enough; or a job on the Beverage Beacon; or a body in a washing machine at the laundromat. Who knows, on this garden path strewn with improvident impulses, you might just stub your little toe on the unmitigated cuteness.
