PETE'S PUDDLE

How to play in a puddle--and it looks like fun. There are cars in the street and a sweeper on the sidewalk ""so Pete can't play in these puddles"" but the one in his backyard is just right for ""Splish! Splash! Splosh! with his big red rubber boots (and) Mish! Mash! Muddle! with his hands in the mud"" and a string of familiar after-the-rain activities from building a dam to watching a worm. The book is just right too, in text and design, for the small child first discovering the delight of wet days.
