MOVE!

More than it seems, other than it seems, this blue-black comedy presents Hiram Jaffe, whose life seems to be as unsettled as the physical circumstances in which he now finds himself--he's about to move. While his wife Dolly who has lost some of her bloom for Hiram has been working for a psychiatrist and picking up a ""trade dialectic,"" Hiram has tried to write, failed, and been walking dogs for a living. Then in the background there's the mover, a diabolus ex machina, a presence who never appears but offers temptations (a blonde), leaves cryptic notes, and finally disappears with some of their belongings--all of which serves to return Hiram to reality, to responsibility Heavens, to Dolly. . .. In the genre (Friedman, Heller, etc.) in the idiom (Jewish and modern), an anti-depressant which succeeds since Mr. Lieber is an easy, limber, personable humorist.
