GARBO

A dispassionate appraisal of Greta Garbo still does not blunt the special fascination of the simple Swedish girl who became a legend in her own lifetime. She modelled hats until her face appeared in commercial films and she secured a scholarship at the Royal Dramatic Theatre Academy. And from then on the 24 pictures, in which she starred, and all the characteristics that brought her a lonely splendour, are warmly shown to bring back the magic of a same that endures.
