DEFY THE FOUL FIEND

If you can imagine Anne Green and ""Colette"" and just a dash of Robert Nathan stirred into one mold, and producing by their combined efforts a flippant novel of the illegitimate son of an impecunious nobleman, and of his adventures in a somewhat distorted modern world for which he is utterly unprepared -- there you have this novel, sub-titled The Misadventures of a Heart. Ultra-sophisticated and ultra-naive by turns. But the market is the caviar palate, not Boston baked beans and brown bread.
