Found here are some 2000 characters from Greek and Roman mythology, listed in alphabetical order, with information as to identity, history, and appearance, where known, in classical or later literary sources. Included are most of the minor characters in the Homer and Vergil epics and Greek and Roman classic literature. The work is carefully cross-referenced to assure identities. The summation of the legends of different figures varies in completeness (Odysseus, for example, is quickly attended to, without going into his particular trials beyond general mention of them; Jason's are not included, while Cadmus is fully covered). Useful for identification and lacement.
