THE CAPTORS

A politicized, domesticated suspense story, much louder but not always clearer than When Michael Calls, follows up the kidnapping of pretty Carol Watterson whose grandfather, a retired General, is a reactionary munitions man. Carol reappears, drugged, chained and collared like a dog, not remembering anything and not quite sounding like her old self which she isn't and from then on the action is quite concussive, all the work of an ""ethical murder"" group. . . . It goes the Scene-ic route from pads to pills with quite a gravitational pull.
