SPANISH FAIRY TALES

Around the world fairy tales have stock characters. Only the names change. Here are ten Spanish tales of peasants, princes and princesses changed through an evil spell into lower creatures. Here too are seven-headed dragons, magic boxes bequeathed by dying travellers to those who give them succor. The setting is Spanish -- but through failure of either the telling or the stories themselves, very little which is uniquely Spanish is communicated.
