by John Mebane ‧ RELEASE DATE: Oct. 10, 1975
Mebane, who wrote (among other comparable books) The Poor Man's Guide to Antique Collecting and Collecting Nostalgia, proceeds from Art Nouveau to Art Deco to the current post1960 ""collectibles"" which include, amond hundreds of items (with an accompanying list of the going prices) such aesthetically desirable objects as cigar cutters, thermometers, bottle caps, cancelled checks, safety match boxes, posters, and stained glass windows. What it all reduces to or rather adds up to is Art Debris.
