This is a sequel to The Kid from Tomkinsville, -- a story of Kid Tucker, in the World Series. It is definitely (and almost solely) intended for junior baseball fans, and Tunis has attempted to give the feel of the team, of the training period, of the excitement of the series. Somehow, it lacks the zest of the earlier book, and reads more like a scissors and paste job, fitted into the skeleton of a story.
