PITY US ALL

This one takes place in Beverly Hills where three kicks-killers, by no means as attractive as Bonnie and Clyde, leave a bloodstained trail ending with the death of a baby. They're conscienceless because they've blown their mind but still sympathy remains for all involved, right through the trial and the gas house. . . . Should breathe right down the neck of the McBain readers.
