Here's a newfangled version of the old space patrol, called the Practical Philosophers Corps and dedicated to protecting intelligent aliens from human depredations. Our hero, titled Conscience instead of Captain, has his share of extraterrestial adventures but his real problem is the earthbased New Roman Party which thinks any means justify the end of lebensraum for humanity. Flimsy however fast-paced.
