NO ESCAPE

This is one of Miss Bell's conventional, conservative and rather sensible stories of a familiar crime, in this case the attempt to save the life of Sheila Burgess, who jumps off a bridge in West Kensington, and is fished out by Timothy Long, a surgical registrar (resident). She is later killed and a roll of film (dirty pictures) and some white beads (drugs) link the murder with a traffic in both commodities.... It won't keep you awake and it might just put you to sleep.
