THE SABOTEURS

A self-search, low on suspense and dependent on a belief in the long-term gullibility of the central character, Casper Douglas, a wealthy South African businessman confronting the mystery of his own failure to achieve satisfying relationships with friends or family. The catalyst is a teenage boy's petty sabotage against the stern South African regime and Casper's efforts to keep his own son clear of involvement. There's nothing very attractive about a middle-aged man's discovery that you can't trust everybody to tell the truth.
