by K. C. Constantine ‧ RELEASE DATE: Feb. 1, 1972
Chief Mario Balzic has his eye on the suspect in the R.R. station murder of a solid citizen -- and a remarkably clear eye it is, what with the marathon leg-and-wheel work and elbow-bending with card-playing crony Father Marrazo. It's all a neighborhood and family matter in which Mario's mother-in-law belts out some relevant social history and the wind-up covers four fatalities and a shook-up Italian Pennsylvania community. Meandering as a string of hot mozzerell' but the people are nice -- buono.
