A ossier of the dedicated for those who may follow in their paths, this introduces in the simplest terms over fifty women whose faith led to the religious life. The stories of modern religious such as Sister Miriam Michael, expert in spectroscopy, and sister Mary Madeleve, president of St. Mary's College at Notre Dame, are interroven with those of such eminent order founders as St. clare, St. Teresa of Avila, and beatified Elizabeth Seton. Interspersed are descriptions of the various stages of the religious life, from the postulancy through the Novitiate and temporary to perpetual vows. The level here is such that it appears to be for the very young woman interested in the religious life; it will scarcely satisfy the more intellectually oriented. Perhaps the best market will be the Catholic high schools.
