by Keith Robertson ‧ RELEASE DATE: Sept. 1, 1958
The versatile Mr. Robertson gives a new slant to his story of credible youngsters at Junior High level. Henry, just over the line a teen ager, co to involve a 12-year old next door to his uncle's Princeton home in a summer business project, and she is duly grateful. Henry's spontaneous and contagious interest in nature, linked with his unequivocally American spirit of enterprise, render the summer a profitable one for the children. For the adults, alternately harrowed and entertained, it proves a hazardous one. Henry, a sort of naive, less introspective and better adjusted Holden Caulfield, blithely manages to maintain a comic balance between maturity and madcap childishness, and to stay clear of disturbing emotional experiences. He rings true for his age and the times.
