THE GREAT FETISH

On the more or less Earthlike planet of Kforri, young Marko Prokopiu has got into hot water in his home province of Vizantia for teaching the heretical notion that the population of Kforri is descended from Terran settlers. Falling in with a like-minded philosopher, he journeys by camel and balloon throughout the cities and islands of Kforri (Niok, Lann, Vien, Afka), attempting to forestall the bellicose designs of the planetary Mussolini and find the answer to the ""Descensionist"" controversy. The solution proves to be in the keeping of an Amazon tribe with no intention of permitting male hands to sully their mysterious ""Great Fetish"" in the Temple of Einstein. Flimsy and pointless.
